Be careful who you vote for because of what the media tells you. Deeds are important. Do not ignore the "facts."
"Facts do not cease to exist because they are ignored." – Food for Thought from Aldous Huxley
Why do we ignore facts? This quote sparked my thinking about human nature: we often ignore facts that challenge our beliefs, not because they aren’t real, but because accepting them would force us to change.
Humans don't really like change. The human mind is wired to maintain a status quo sense of identity—our Ego. This Ego is built on a set of core beliefs that help us navigate life. When we encounter facts that contradict these beliefs, our natural response is to experience cognitive dissonance, a discomfort that comes from holding conflicting ideas. Rather than confronting this discomfort, our mind often chooses to ignore or deny the facts to protect the stability of our identity.
However, growth and transformation require us to face this discomfort head-on. Real change begins when we recognize the need to evolve, to confront the facts, and to allow our beliefs to be challenged. This process can be difficult and unsettling, but it is necessary for personal growth.
The journey of transformation starts with awareness—acknowledging that our beliefs might be outdated or incorrect. From there, we can begin to question, explore new perspectives, and eventually integrate new truths into our lives.
Let’s remind ourselves that ignoring facts doesn’t change their reality; it only delays our growth. Embracing the truth, even when it’s uncomfortable, is the first step toward meaningful transformation.
Q: Do you like change?

I’ve learned over time that facts don’t cease to exist just because they are ignored and denied by many. The truth is still the truth even when its not believed by others. From: Kristen Gabel via DocuSign.
